According to journalist Alan Nixon, Sheffield Wednesday will go in for James Beadle this week.
The goalkeeper has had two impressive loan spells under his belt this season, one with Oxford and the other with us. At Wednesday Beadle played 19 games and kept eight clean sheets, which is pretty impressive for the 19-year-old.
Beadle hit the ground running when he joined us and that was partly down to the fact he had already worked with our goalkeeping coach Salvatore Bibbo, which I think was a big factor in him coming on loan to us. Beadle has already said a couple of times how much he is enjoying being at Wednesday and working with Bibbo, who he feels is making him a better keeper.
The fact we are rumored to be going in for Beadle again just shows how highly Danny and Bibbo rate him. It’s not clear if this would be a season-long load or if Wednesday will try and get him on a permanent deal, it will be up to Brighton what type of deal this will be. If there is a permanent deal to be had, I am pretty sure Wednesday will try and get it done.
One good thing about this is, that if we are going in this week for him, it must also be a good sign that Danny will be here next season. I am pretty sure that Beadle will want to make sure he is working with Danny & Bibbo before he signs any type of contract.
