Dear Investors, Football People, and Anyone Who Still Believes in What This Club Can Be,
We write this not as journalists or pundits — but as fans. Supporters who’ve stood in the rain at Hillsborough, sung when we were bottom of the league, and dared to dream even when we knew better.
Today, we write with broken hearts.
Danny Röhl is set to leave.
The one bright light in what has been a dark and frustrating era is walking away — not because he doesn’t love this club, but because he no longer believes he can move it forward under the current ownership. And who can blame him?
We’ve seen the stories. The broken promises. The lack of structure. The outdated training ground. The silent summers and the deadline-day panic buys. We’ve lived it. We’ve funded it through ticket prices, shirts, and unwavering loyalty.
And now? Contracts are up in the air. The manager is gone. The future is uncertain.
Enough is enough.
We Are Not Just Any Club
Sheffield Wednesday is a sleeping giant, a powerhouse of English football. One of the oldest and most historic clubs in the country. We are a club with Premier League infrastructure (or what used to be), a loyal fanbase, and a proud identity rooted in the heart of Sheffield.
But right now, we are being dragged down by leadership that lacks vision, communication, and modern football understanding. It’s not just about money — it’s about care, competence, and the willingness to put football first.
We are stuck. And we are tired.
To Dejphon Chansiri: Please, Let Go
We thank you for your early ambition and for moments like Wembley. But it’s time.
It is clear now — to everyone — that you can no longer take this club forward.
Please step aside.
Do what is right for Sheffield Wednesday. For the city. For the thousands who live and breathe this club every week. We are not angry anymore — we are exhausted. This is not about blame, it’s about what comes next.
To Potential Investors: We Are Ready
We need new leadership. Someone to believe in this club the way we do.
This is your chance. A passionate, 20,000-strong fanbase will back you from day one if you show the vision and respect this club deserves.
We’re not asking for billions. We’re asking for stability, structure, and a plan.
Back a proper manager. Build a proper footballing setup. Communicate with the fans. Invest in the training ground and the youth. Bring Hillsborough back to life.
We’ll do our part — like we always have.
This Summer Is the Last Chance
If we go into next season like this — without a manager, without a plan, without leadership — we’re not just risking relegation.
We’re risking losing what Sheffield Wednesday is.
This is a plea. A final one.
Please — someone, somewhere — help save our football club.
We’re ready for a new era. We’re just waiting for someone with the vision and love to lead it.
Until then, we keep singing.
Up The Owls. Always.
