The Change We Need

Could Danny Rohl be the man who brings swiping changes to Sheffield Wednesday?

It’s no secret that the big needs a big overhaul, not just the main squad but the whole system from top to bottom, the facilities need an upgrade, the main ground needs an upgrade and so much more.

Danny knows the work that needs to be done and I am sure he didn’t walk into the job blindly but after working at such high-profile jobs, walking into Wednesday and seeing the day-to-day running of the club would have been a surprise nonetheless.

But with that being said, Danny seems to want to bring changes to the club and move the club forward. If you listen to some of his press interviews, he is always talking about long-term plans, mindset, vision, and bringing improvements to the club. From a fan’s point of view, it’s a breath of fresh air to have a manager walk into a club with a real long-term plan and ideas to move the club forward. Yes, we have had good managers before, Darren Moore, and Carlos Carvalhal (King Carlos) but you never really felt they had a plan to move the club forward by changing the structure, playing style, and so on.

If Danny can convince Dejphon Chansiri of his plans and Chansiri can convince Danny that he will give him his backing, then we could have a very good future in front of us BUT all of this will take time, even Danny has said it will take time and he doesn’t expect everything to happen in one summer!

I do believe Danny given the time he needs will improve the whole setup of the club, from the youth/development system, recruitment, training facilities, and everything else that is needed to make sure the club moves forward in the right direction.
